The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care addresses the skills to support children’s wellbeing, learning and development across various working environments including day care centres, crèches, early learning centres, after care and child care facilities.

Participants of this program will obtain relevant qualification enabling various roles working within the requirements of the Education Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard under approved learning framework.

You will develop skills such as:

• Practical skills and application in early childhood learning environments

• Children’s Health & Safety (including Emergency First Aid)

• Fostering learning and development in children

• Workplace Practices

• Culture, Diversity and Mediation

• Work within a relevant legal and ethical framework

• Develop positive and respectful relationships with children

• Early Childhood Educator
• Childhood Assistant
• Nanny
• Childcare Room Leader
• Childcare Relief Worker

*Upon completion of selected program, participants will receive Working with children check and
Course materials.

Participants should have a genuine desire to seek employment.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but all participants must attend an interview prior to acceptance into the course. Sound basic reading and writing skills and reasonable level of fitness may be required in the course.

Where applicants can show evidence of prior qualification or experience in a related field, there may be an opportunity to apply for recognition to be given for previous study, knowledge, and/or skills resulting from work or life experience relevant to this qualification.
